The Savannah Banjo SB-100 is a 5 string Bluegrass (Resonator) Banjo with excellent sound projection. It features a mahogany resonator with thumb screws and a 14:1 ratio geared 5th peg. The Savannah SB-100 provides great projection and tone while offering a price that anyone can afford.
The SB100 has a maple rim, mahogany resonator and neck, and no tone ring. The Savannah Banjo SB-100 offers geared tuning machines for easy adjustments, 24 brackets and a genuine Remo head. A great instrument for beginners or a lightweight alternative for bluegrassers on the go. It has a full, clear sound with good projection. If you play bluegrass style, you will be very pleased with the tone and achieve a very good intonation without a compensated saddle and the banjo stays in tune well.
For an entry level banjo, the fretwork is very good, and the action is right at 1/8″ at the 20th fret, with no buzzes. The playability is extremely good. The Savannah SB-100 a very nice banjo for the price – sounds good – and doesn’t need much work to keep in tune
