Recording King Dirty 30’s Acoustic Parlor Guitar. Recording King introduced the Dirty 30s Series 7 in January of 2013 – meant to sound great wherever the road takes you. With a solid top and old-style matte sunburst finish, these instruments meet at the perfect crossroads of classic sound, vintage style and exceptional value. Like the original Montgomery Ward mail order guitars in the first half of the 20th century, the Dirty 30s Series are the perfect companion for singer-songwriters, folk stylists or traveling troubadours.
Originally the series was available in three historic shapes, the Dirty Thirties Dreadnought, OOO and Single O. They were all built with a solid Spruce top and rosewood fretboard, as well as bone nut and saddle. The neck is built out of Nato wood. Often referred to as ‘Eastern Mahogany’, Nato is a species which offers similar looks and similar characteristics to regular mahogany. It offers a cost effective way to build a guitar with great looks and great tonal output.
Qualities of the Dirty Thirty Series
Dirty Thirty series guitars pack excellent playability and historic vibe into an ultra-affordable package that makes vintage style accessible to even the most budget-depending players, while also covered by Recording King’s industry-leading lifetime warranty – even if you live in the Dust Bowl. They’re the perfect guitar for your store wall, for a gift, or even for your own arsenal.
Chalk it up to the super clean Cross Lap bracing and top quality materials, and you see that the Series 7 packs a punch.
The spruce top provides the foundation for classic acoustic tone beneath the Tobacco Sunburst finish. The bound soundhole and Harmonella stencil fretboard markers are at the same time functional and stylistic.
The Series 7 has a bone nut and saddle for excellent sustain, and ivory-button tuning machines for traditional mojo.
Whether heading out on the road or matching the vibe of an intimate session, Recording King Dirty 30’s Acoustic Parlor Guitar is your go-to guitar for that woody, boxy vintage sound.
Available in Tobacco Sunburst, Matte Black and Matte Gray
