Proper Guitar Setup Is Important

A properly setup guitar can mean the difference between an OK guitar, and a great guitar. I believe that pretty much any guitar has the potential to be a great guitar, as long as it has been set up correctly.

A lot of beginning guitar players who are really struggling to find the motivation to practice find playing difficult, and not very rewarding. Often their guitar is in such bad shape that it is no wonder… but give it a good setup, and all of a sudden they love their guitar—it plays and sounds so much better than before.

I adjust the action, the bridge, intonation and the pickup heights, as well as adjust the neck for precise relief, in order to get the best action possible on both electric and acoustic guitars.
